Pesto Garlic Bread

Bread is one carb that I'll never give up. So when I found myself with a lot of bread at home, I had to figure out what I could make with it. This was another one of my "A-ha!" moments. I was so happy that I was able to find a way to incorporate pesto into yet another recipe. Pesto goes with pretty much everything and especially with garlic bread. With a few simple steps, I was able to create a quick and easy Pesto Garlic Bread. It's perfect as an appetizer, a snack, or even the bread for a nice sandwich.

Ingredients
- 1 Baguette
- 3 TBLS Cucina & Amore Basil Pesto Alla Genovese
- 1 Cup shredded Parmesan & Romano Cheese
- 1 TSP Garlic
- 2 TBLS Cucina & Amore Fruttato Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400° F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil
- Cut the baguette in half then cut the halves length wise
- Crush the garlic
- I used about 1 tsp, but you can use more if you like a lot of garlic
- Mix the Cucina & Amore Fruttato EVOO with the garlic
- Drizzle the baguette with the olive oil and garlic mixture
- In a bowl, mix a cup of Parmesan & Romano cheese
- Mine came in a mixed bag
- You can also use mozzarella or Italian cheese blend
- Add the pesto to the cheese and stir until all the cheese is evenly coated in pesto
- Spread the pesto cheese mixture evenly onto each baguette
- Put the baguette on the baking sheet and put it in the oven
- Cook for 10-15 minutes (depending on the oven and if you like it crispy)
- Enjoy!
